(Norderstedt, 16.07.2021) For all those who still want to receive a wallbox subsidy, it is good news. Because, according to the Deutsche Presse-Agentur (DPA), the KfW subsidy program 440 has once again been increased by another 300 million euros. The previous funds of 500 million euros had already been used up. Transport Minister Andres Scheuer has since confirmed the increase on Twitter.
According to Scheuer, applications have already been received for 620,000 private charging points, which, with 900 euros in funding per charging point, equates to a total of 558 million euros. With the total budget of 800 million euros, 888,888 charging points can be funded.
KfW funding 440 was launched in November 2020 - with an initial budget of 200 million euros. The budget was subsequently increased several times due to sustained high demand, in each case before the committed sum was exhausted. In June, however, the 500 million euros approved up to that point had been used up - without any decision having been taken to increase it. At present, KfW is officially unable to accept any further applications. However, it can be assumed that applications will be possible again in a few days.
Important: The application for the "Zuschuss 440" program at KfW must be submitted before the wallbox is purchased and the wallbox must be on the list of eligible models, which can be found on the KfW website. Under the program set up by the Federal Ministry of Transport, controllable 11-kW wallboxes are subsidized with the aforementioned 900 euros across the board, provided they are powered by green electricity. While it is possible to purchase a charging station with more than 11 kW, it must be throttled to 11 kW.
The Entratek Power Dot wallboxes are on KfW's list of eligible models. The Power Dot Pro wallbox is available in both 11 KW and 22 kW variants, which can be throttled to 11 kW.
The wallboxes are available directly from the Entratek webshop www.entratek-shop.de. Delivery usually takes three days to four weeks.
