New funding for vehicles and charging infrastructure for municipal and commercial fleets

Time of publication: 2021-02-17

As of now, municipalities, municipal and commercial companies can again submit applications for the procurement of electric vehicles and charging infrastructure. Particular emphasis is placed on strengthening municipal and commercial fleets such as company cars, cabs, mobility and sharing services that achieve significant environmental benefits through the use of renewable energy and high mileage. The application deadline is March 31, 2021.

The charging infrastructure required to operate the vehicles applied for is also eligible.

The following are eligible
- Expenditure on charging infrastructure ready for connection to the public grid, including all necessary safety components.

The eligible expenses for charging infrastructure types were determined in advance by Project Management Jülich (PtJ). These values determined in advance apply as flat rates for the respective charging infrastructure type. Upon proof of commissioning of the charging infrastructure by means of a commissioning or acceptance protocol, the flat-rate funding amount for this charging infrastructure can be requested.
