Charging tests carried out successfully with various electric vehicle models on the market

We have recently tested our charging stations with several electric vehicle (EV) models on the market. From German EV models such as VW id.3, Audi e-tron, Porsche Taycan, Opel Corsa-e to Korean Hyundai Ioniq, Kia e-Soul, Japanese Honda-e – the list is long.

Communication between the charging station and the vehicle is established quickly and securely using ISO15118. All the vehicles tested are found to be compatible with both charging stations Power Bay and Power Capsule.

To charge a car with 58 kWh battery from 0% to 80% takes about 40 minutes using the DC fast charger Power Bay 60 kW.

Even on DC Wallbox Power Capsule 30 kW, to charge from 0% to 80% of the 58 kWh battery takes only about 75 minutes.

To continuously ensure compatibility between the charging station and EV, charging tests are carried out regularly at our site - for existing models as well as for new EV models that are just coming onto the market. Any incompatibilities are identified and dealt with on an early stage before the customer can even notice it. To conclude, close cooperation between the EV and the charging station manufacturer is critical in order to ensure the optimal charging experience for the end user.
