New Entratek load management system enables simultaneous charging of up to 252 electric cars

(Norderstedt, 22.02.2022) The new Entratek load management system enables simultaneous charging of up to 252 electric cars without overloading the grid.
Thanks to an intelligent load manager set, customers can charge multiple electric cars easily, functionally and cost-effectively - even when grid access is limited. Equipped with a load management hub and three current transformers, charging stations can be controlled in real time based on the current available power. In addition, it is technically possible to flexibly expand the dynamic load management. This makes the system particularly future-proof.

► Load management works without an Internet connection
► Flexible installation of additional charging points
► Backend for recording charging processes and billing electric power
► Simple and flexible installation and configuration via a user-friendly configuration panel
► PV surplus charging with three operating modes to choose from
► Market launch expected in April 2022, pre-orders available now

Entratek GmbH is further expanding its portfolio for charging solutions. The Norderstedt-based provider is introducing an energy management system that supports dynamic load management locally in buildings.

So far, customers have the option of implementing static load management via the app from the Power Dot Pro wallbox. If several Power Dot Pro wallboxes are linked to each other via WLAN in the app, a load upper limit can be set for this group of wallboxes. If this upper limit is reached, the maximum permitted power is distributed evenly among all charging points.

Cost-optimized - and still flexible

With the new Entratek Loadmanager Set, load management becomes even more powerful and intelligent. Combined with Entratek's Power Dot Fix and Power Arrow Dual charging stations, users can charge up to 252 electric cars simultaneously without overloading the grid. If the potential charging power of all individual electric cars exceeds this value, the charging power of all charging stations is automatically reduced until sufficient power is available again. This saves customers high costs for upgrading their power connection and makes ideal use of the available power.

In addition, the new system works without an Internet connection. The Power Dot Fix and Power Arrow Dual are each connected to the local network via LAN cable or WLAN and can communicate with each other using Modbus protocol in master-slave mode. The load management works locally without internet connection and your data is 100% secure.

"The powerful load management system is especially suitable for sites that have limited power connection, such as existing buildings where the grid connection can only be expanded with high investment costs," says Jingwei Zheng, Managing Director at Entratek GmbH.

"The load management system is eligible for subsidies, making it a very good choice for homeowners, ownership companies, businesses, enterprises and municipalities.

With our user-friendly load management system, we aim to make e-mobility accessible to a wide range of users."

Performance meets convenience

Entratek stands for the combination of innovative technology, outstanding convenience and easy handling. This also applies to the new load management system. The dynamic load management can be flexibly expanded. For example, if the vehicle fleet expands, additional charging points can be installed quickly and easily. The set is available in two variants: the 100 A set is ideal for individual residential buildings, while the 800 A set is well suited for locations such as company premises and apartment buildings. Installation is simple and intuitive. A user-friendly local configuration panel allows customers to conveniently configure settings and also adjust them at any time in the future. Thanks to the OCPP interface, users can integrate the charging stations with load management into different backend systems in parallel and thus monitor the charging stations remotely. Regardless of the manufacturer of the photovoltaic system, customers can implement PV surplus charging. It does not matter whether the PV system is already in place or is planned for the future. Users can choose between three operating modes to charge their e-car with solar power while optimizing self-consumption.

Availability and price

The Entratek load management system will be available in Germany from April. Pre-orders are now available in the Entratek online store. Selected installation partners will also offer the load management system. The recommended retail price in Germany is 249 euros (incl. 19% VAT) for the 100 A variant, plus the cost of professional installation. The respective regional installation partner will assist with consulting and installation of the load management system.
